Life is a series of hills and valleys, I try to take advantage of both. Art of many forms has always been an outlet to help me survive and live well through the struggles in my life. I have lived with chronic illness for all of my adult life and have had my fair share of other "stuff". Night's Vision is my light in the dark. I make what moves me, what I see when I'm wandering around in the middle of the night unable to sleep yet again. I love all that is dark and creepy, yet my art always seems to come out bright and colorful albeit sometimes still a bit creepy :) . I like to think it has something to do with the light I carry inside me that enables me to keep dancing.
Night's Vision came into being in 1999 when I was still trying to figure out what I could do in life while being "disabled" . I never quite got around to getting it all off the ground. It kind of got put on hold while I fell in love with another art form, Belly Dance. I lived and breathed dancing for close to nine years before I was unable to continue due to health reasons. I had to have something to do to keep my creativity alive and that's when I fell further in love with art dolls and decided to open Night's Vision here on Etsy and see what happened. I've expanded to creating jewelry, ACEO's and even a regular sized painting here and there. I only hope to further expand in my endeavors.
In 2012 Night's Vision has expanded to include a line of jewelry called SpiritWorks Legacy. These pieces were designed and created by my incredibly talented Aunt Marti Gregoire who passed away from a stroke on December 12, 2011. Her light and talent are sorely missed and I could only make the choice to continue to sell her gorgeous pieces so that her talent could continue to be shared with the world.
